cayenne pepper
1 1⁄2 teaspoon
mustard seed

garlic cloves, peeled and halved
1 1⁄4 pound
boneless skinless chicken breast halves
4 cans
(14 oz. each) chicken broth
1 package
(9 oz.) refrigerated linguine
 
Coarsely ground pepper and additional minced fresh parsley, optional

Instructions

1. Combine the first 6 ingredients in inner pot. Place mustard seed and garlic on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth; tie with kitchen string to form a bag. Place in inner pot. Add chicken and broth. Cover with glass lid. Press slow cook function; select poultry setting. Set to medium cook time (6 hours). Start.

2. Discard spice bag. Remove chicken to a cutting board. Stir linguine into inner pot. Cover with glass lid. Press slow cook function; select poultry setting. Press timer; set to 30 minutes. Press temp; set to 212°. Start.
Cook until noodles are tender.

3. Cut chicken into pieces and return to soup; heat through. If desired, sprinkle with coarsely ground pepper and additional parsley.
