Eric Theiss — TV Chef

Eric Theiss's culinary savoir-faire started in northern New Jersey as a child when his Italian mother gave him his first cook book at age 6.  As a young adult, he continued to fuel his passion for food and fine dining.  During his early twenties, his love of food and wine manifested itself in working long nights in NY metro restaurants, including his favorite, The Culinary Renaissance, where he worked under the rigorous tutelage of acclaimed chef Frank Falcinelli.  After "moonlighting" in the restaurant and catering industry, in 1997 he took a leap of faith and opened his own fine dining restaurant and bar called Meritage in West Chester, PA--one that enjoyed rave reviews from some prominent Philadelphia food critics.  Here, his dream of owning and operating a fine dining establishment was fully realized.

A few years later, utilizing his inventive and creative flair, Theiss moved on to the culinary broadcast world, working in product development for not only QVC's proprietary kitchenware lines but also for celebrity lines (Paula Deen, Emeril, Rocco, Rachel Ray) as well as his own personal line of cool kitchen tools and cookware, Walah!.  Theiss has been a weekly presenter for over 10 years on QVC’s live shows for his own brands as well as a variety of well-known kitchen brands, such as Rachael Ray, Nespresso, Waring Pro and  Charbroil.  Beyond that, Theiss owns and operates a company called Livevision that brokers into QVC many new and innovative products.  His most recent business venture, a successful new publishing company (also named Walah!), publishes cook books and pamphlets and distributes them nationwide.

Paramount to his career thus far, Theiss currently hosts the incredibly successful, award-winning long-form infomercial featuring the Power Pressure Cooker XL, which has sold almost a million units and has maintained a TOP 10 status for the over 9 months since it originally aired.  Widely known as a Television chef, he is currently writing his much-anticipated first cook book and will add the title of author to his career accomplishments thus far.  Eric currently resides near the live studios at QVC in PA along with his wife Jessica and two sons, Cameron and Maxwell.
